digiKam-5.7.0-02-Win64.exe crashes on install

When trying to install latest version of digiKam, the install crashes while
searching to close conflicting programs.  Looking at event log, I get the
following:

Had Version 5.6 installed and running, but get message when trying to
upgrade existing installation or clean install.  Had to use an uninstaller
to remove V5.6 as the uninstall app would go into a loop.

Running Win10-64bit.  Any help would be appreciated as I migrated to digiKam
from Picasa and would rather not have to migrate again.
