Export to Google Photos/Picasaweb Plugin - Create new album button missing?

Hi all

I am using Digikam 5.5 on Mac OS Sierra. For some reason when I go to Export
-> Export to Google Photos/PicasaWeb, the create new album button is
missing. I can successfully upload photos to existing albums but I cannot
create new albums on upload. I have tried to contact the plugin author but
didn't receive a response.  Does anyone have any suggestions here?
