Associating Collections to New Internal HDD ???

Hi,
Sorry to be such a dumbie; however, when I navigate to the first of the
four paths you listed, I immediately get a pop-up window that asks me which
program I want to open the file with; every program I have is listed (and
there are many); what kind of files are these and what opens them ? Or, am
I doing something wrong ?
