Missing menus

Like it or not, Ubuntu is pretty common use. I have not had problems with
any other software on it.
Don't get me wrong, I love Digikam, it is my only photo management /
workflow tool aside from some nautilus scripts, and I am happy to help get
to the root of the problem while I use Version 4 meanwhile. I don't want to
use anything else, so i will use the older version until there is a
solution. It has to be something simple and silly!

And thanks for EVERYTHING you guys do with Digikam. As an ordinary user, I
really really really appreciate it.
