Updgrade on Windows

Hi,
I am a new user. I have 5.5.0 Beta installed on a Windows 10 machine. 

I want to upgrade to the newest version. How do I do an upgrade?
Do I need to actually uninstall and then reinstall? Can you confirm that this will not lose my images and collections.
