Removing frame for grouped pictures

Thank you for your answer.

As I said, almost all my pictures are grouped, as I put in the same group
the original RAW and the post-treated resulting TIFF (exported from
Darktable); I sometimes have additionnal JPEGs.
As it is, I don't need anything specific to identifiy grouped items: I
simply use the filter to show/hide RAWs/non-RAWs/TIFFs pictures.

Thumbnails size might have not been changed, but IMO they are much less
'readable' due to the rather complex border. See here for example:

I hope you'll be able to set it up as an option, or find some less
intrusive solution.
