Removing frame for grouped pictures

Hi everybody,

In a recent update appeared a new 'thing': a kind of pictures-stack frame
that is added to all grouped pictures.
Is there a way to remove this frame? As almost my pictures are grouped,
this frame doesn't add anything, except it reduces the size of thumbnails
and make them less visible.
I've looked in Digikam settings, but didn't find anything related to this
new concept.
