Hi,

I'm learning/experimenting with 5.3 (the bundled app) on a Manjaro
xfce with 8 cpu 12gb ram.

Things are even slower than crawling.

* No swap used
* Plenty of free disc space 1.2tb free
* sqlite storage: digikam4.db 22mb & thumbnails-digikam.db: 180mb
* cpu running @ 55%

* Renaming 1 image: so far 11 & 1/2 minutes and it's not finished yet.
* Searched for 1 word: returned 952 results. Paging through them is
  excruciating slow

Is it that slow for everybody or what am I doing wrong and what
should I look for?
