One click wonder revisited: Adding fast fix tool for automatic image improvements?

Hi there,
although I know that it has been asked already in the year 2010 
(https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=224614) I would dare to ask again 
for a one click wonder button in digiKam. Let me explain why.
Still not every camera in the consumer section produces raw format 
images. Some do not do it at all or they do it in a slow, uncomfortable 
way. This reflects my experiences in the travel zoom camera section. So 
I am confronted with loads of jpeg images waiting to be enhanced. So I 
think it would be really helpful if there would be such an auto enhance 
button which in combination with a BQM workflow would help to "develop" 
most of the jpeg images at once in a reasonable quality. Although I know 
Auto-Correction in DK this is not the full story. Compared to PSE with 
auto smartfix or Picasas "I am feeling lucky"  there are not only fixes 
in color applied but also in brightness, contrast etc.. yielding 
acceptable results. Up to my knowledge DK has nearly all of this tools 
already, even in an automatic mode. So it seems to me that these single 
tools have to be stitched together in a meaningful way and then be 
placed in the image editor.
So I would kindly ask about the opinion of the DK developers on this.
