[Digikam-users] Batch-updating album dates

Hi,

I'm using version 5.0.0 of digikam on OS X 10.11.X (
http://download.kde.org/stable/digikam/digiKam-5.0.0-MacOS-x86-64.pkg), but
I had the same 'problem' with the 4.X version I was using before.

Is there any efficient way of setting the album date for a large number of
albums?
The default album date seems to come from the folder modification time,
which is not very helpful.
For an individual album I can open its properties dialog and click
'Oldest', 'Average' or 'Newest', which comes up with a sensible date based
on the image metadata.
I have a lot of albums, so don't want to do this by hand for all of them.
Is there a way of setting all the albums to have the 'Oldest' date
automatically?
