Importing filename into digiKam

I’m a new user to digiKam so please bear with me it is a steep learning
curve.
I have a lot of photos where the file name is a description of the image. Is
there a way to import this into ‘Comments’ automatically other than  cutting
and pasting. I guess a reverse of the Rename function.
