DK feature suggestion revisited: group by file name

Dear Gilles,

I fully agree that RegEx should not be an option in the user interface.

However, the choices:
() Group raw and jpeg image
() Group files using common modifiers (as received from a 
fixed/adjustable list) generated by popular software
should be available.

In order to get more flexibility in the last option, one may implement 
an advanced option, i.e. build group criteria with the mechanism 
digikam`s batch tool manager rename functionality uses.

Thanks for your suggestion with bugzilla I will continue there,
