[Digikam-users] about databases and deleted files

Sorry for my bad English, i'm a poor frenchy boy...
I would like to know if it's better to delete a file (jpeg or Tiff or 
png or other RAW) from Linux or from Digikam ?
What's happen into the databases of Digikam if some files disapear from 
a session to another ?
