[Digikam-users] Possibility to execute shell scripts for an album within digikam?

Hi to all digikam users and developers!
 
Over the last years, I wrote some bash scripts to automate my entire workflow (backup, exports etc.).
Now I would like to "integrate" them into digikam and get rid of my workarount (place the scripts into the album and execute it via 'run as... --> xterm').
 
Is there a possibility to extend the context menu for albums in digikam?
 
Or do you have other ideas?
All hints are welcome... ;-)
