[Digikam-users] paint fill function

I am very happy with Digikam to manage and store my photos, and also use 
it as a paint program for scanned images from time to time.  But I am 
searching for a Linux based open source program which will give me the 
one function Digikam does not have yet.  I want to be able to fill an 
area with a color I select, or which I pick up with an eye dropper 
tool.  Any suggestions?
