Well, more in the deamon which mount the device in fact. the original message :

'The specified camera
("/org/kde/solid/udev/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:0f.3/usb1/1-8/1-8:1.0")
is not supported.'

do not come from digiKam as well, but from KDE Solid interface...
