[Digikam-users] Auto aspect crop tool

Is there a way to define a base minimum & maximum crop area for a photo and
then in batch processing autocrop to a particular aspect ratio?

That is to say, I know I want a certain box to be in any final image, and I
know I don't want to crop beyond a certain point, but I don't want to
decide which aspect ratio (1:1, 4:6, 8:10, etc) I'm running the workflow
for until I'm ready to publish the photo, and I don't want to downsample
resolutions if downsampling is necessary for the target until after the
crop is performed. And I might want to come back later and run it for a
different aspect ratio if I need a new print size. For example, I publish
it to facebook at 1:1, print some snapshots at 4:6, and then my parents
want my kid's photo in an 8:10.

If this isn't out there, is this something I should implement?
