Ok I have no idea what was wrong, but it's working now. :) I purged everything I had been working on. Jeff at Bodhi linux added DK 2.8 to the repo and I installed that, and it's working fine now. whoohoo! Thanks everyone for trying to help. Don't you just hate the weird problems?! Kim
