[Digikam-users] Macports Digikam 2.7.0 crashes on startup with missing symbol error in libdigikamcore.2.dylib

Hi - 

I've been trying to use MacPorts to update Digikam to 2.7.0 (the latest
Macports version).

After a few issues along the way, I have an error-free build, but Digikam
crashes on startup while still displaying the 'splash' screen. 

Running it under gdb shows the following:

 

 

dyld: lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found:
__ZN7Digikam19ThumbnailLoadThread13setExifRotateEb

  Referenced from: /Applications/KDE4/digikam.app/Contents/MacOS/digikam

  Expected in: /opt/local/lib/libdigikamcore.2.dylib

 

dyld: Symbol not found: __ZN7Digikam19ThumbnailLoadThread13setExifRotateEb

  Expected in: /opt/local/lib/libdigikamcore.2.dylib

 

I've done a 'port uninstall digiKam' for all previously-installed versions
and re-installed 2.7.0 again, but the same issue recurs.

I can't find multiple versions of libdigikamcore.2.dylib so I don't think
that another version's being linked by mistake. 

Any thoughts?

 

I guess I could always wait until the Macports version of 2.8.0 is
available.
