these lines can be added to your software sources in your package manager

after doing so you can download the latest release of digikam


 A correction? Guest Additions used to be a separate iso file from the
VM. Not knowing this, I spent HOURS looking for GA 4.1.2, which of
course, doesn't exist.  Now GA is built into the VM file, accessible
from the top line menu when a given guest OS is running. You can't
download it as you say.
