[Digikam-users] Fwd: [Exiv2 - Bug #772] New Tamron 70-300 mm lens improperly recognized

Go this from the exiv2 project.

What does it mean regarding Digikam? Will it be OK for version 2.0 stable?
Or is there a way to get it sooner with the 1.9 version?

Attached are two patches: one for the current svn, the other for version
0.21
(I could not compile svn, however, the test on the attached image with 0.21
passed through well.)

My new Tamron 70-300 mm F4–5,6 Di VC USD is identified as a Canon EF 28-105
mm both in Digikam and UFRaw.
Is it because it is a new lens?

Exiv2 version is 0.21.1
