In the beginning I only shot jpeg photos as I was not used to raw
processing (esp. not with Linux). after a few months I switched to
raw+jpg and since this year I switched to raw only.

With some photos I had problems to get good results out of the raw file
with ufraw (and digikam btw.). After switching to darktable for raw
processing in December 2010 It was time to get rid of the out of camera
jpg files.

Main problem (at least with digikam 1.x) is the tag and other exif
handling. These data are not copied by darktable. I have to do it by
hand. But I hope digikam 2.x will play nicely together with darktable.
