[Digikam-users] Import Error

This is the error message that I get when trying to add folders to a new
install of 2.0

"Could notstart process. Unable to create io_slave
klauncher said: Error loading kio_digikamalbvums"

Can somebody advise what I am missing ... simply impossible to get images
into the system.
If I simply put all my images into 'Pictures' then the db is aparently
created, thumbnails are created, images can be accessed through the file
manager but every folder in DK appears blank.
