[Digikam-users] loosing directories every start..?

I'm using digikam 1.9 on Gentoo with kernel 2.6.39-r5. Every time I start 
digikam there ist this failure:

Die Aktualisierung des Schemas von Version 4 nach 5 ist durch einen für das 
Programm unerwarteten Fehler fehlgeschlagen. Sie können Ihre alte Datenbank 
wegwerfen und mit einer leeren neu anfangen. In diesem Fall verschieben Sie 
bitte die Datenbankdateien „digikam3.db“ und „digikam4.db“ aus dem Ordner 
„/home/uhai“. Höchstwahrscheinlich möchten Sie aber lieber diesen Fehler an 
die Mailingliste digikam-devel at kde.org (auf Englisch) berichten. Betrachten 
Sie bitte zusätzlich, was digiKam auf der Konsole ausgibt. 

(means: updating from 4 to 5 fails. Please remove digikam3 and digikam4 from 
/home/uhai.)

Strange, in /home/uhai is no digikam3 - digikam4-File which I could remove. I 
got only my database called digikam. (round about 762 MB). This file I want to 
use.

Starting in console gives this output:

KGlobal::locale::Warning your global KLocale is being recreated with a valid 
main component instead of a fake component, this usually means you tried to 
call i18n related functions before your main component was created. You should 
not do that since it most likely will not work 
QSqlDatabasePrivate::removeDatabase: connection 'ConnectionTest' is still in 
use, all queries will cease to work.

After pressing ok digikam starts. But my albums vanished. So I have to go to 
settings and select my local folders and the external USB-Drive. After reading 
all files (roundabout 66.000) digikam runs fine.

But doing this every start is very time-consumig. What can I do to get rid of 
this behaviour?

Searching for digikam3 and digikam4 gives this:

Could one of this old files cause this problem? In my settings is /home/uhai 
used for the database.
