[Digikam-users] Digikam, macports and removable media

Hello, 

First of all thank you very much to all the people involved
in the development anda maintaining of such a beautiful
peace of software such Digikam. 

I used to have all my pics correctly sorted and organized
with digikam in my Mandriva Gnu/Linux box. 

Nowadays due to different requierements my main computer is
a macbook in wich I have digikam installed via macports. I'm
quite happy with the way it works but I have a big problem
that renders the set up unworkable.

Did anyone manage to work with the colection in a remobable
media on digikam 1.7 or 1.8 running on a Mac OSX with
macports?

I've been googleing on the matter but had no satisfactory
results. This has been my second stop because I'd like to
detect whether the failure is just due to my configuration
or just a general issue.
