Is there any possibility of adding spot or area colour/luminosity values
that could be tracked by the cursor? We do have the histogram but it
really only tells a small part of the story.

Gilles, I know we have previously discussed this in connection with the
tone curve but even by itself a continuous readout from under the cursor
would be most helpful.
