[Digikam-users] descreptions in preview window

Hi,

I have just made a major upgrade/change - new hardware which forced me
to switch to Kubuntu after I had used LinuxMint. Now, in Digikam I
don't see the descriptions printed under the preview images in the
collection-view.
I am German, so I use the German version. I'm not sure if I use the
correct English terms.
I have enabled both in the settings, but they don't appear under the
thumbnails. All other details are there.
Can anyone help? It's digikam 2.4.1 on Kubuntu 11.10, 64bit.
