[Digikam-users] Problems with archive root file

I have posted emails on here a problem with digikam not working a while a go. I have done further investigating and found out that it is a problem with the root folder that I can change in the configuration options menu. I have tried using different folders and they work untell I try to change back to my main folder and then neither of them work. Would this be a glitch in the file system.
