Hi all digiKam users,
Since few week, me and Julien Narboux we trying to make a digiKam
installer for windows including last code from svn trunk of digiKam,
kipi-plugins, and all shared libraries from KDE core.
This archive is based on a KDE 4.4.4 MinGW4 install.
Currently, we working on a NSIS based installer, but it doesn't work yet:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=256372
As working based, we use my current Windows 7 KDE4 installation from
my laptop. I created a 7zip archive of this. You can download it at
this place :
http://digikam3rdparty.free.fr/misc.tarballs/digikam-install.exe
Archive size is around 200Mb. Uncompress it at the right place on your
computer. The folder created is the whole KDE4 dir. Go to bin sub-dir,
digikam.exe is there (as dngconverter.exe, showfoto.exe,
expoblending.exe, etc.)
Do not cry if all doesn't work yet. 90% of digiKam work fine under
windows, but some features are broken due to some bugs in KDELibs, as
for ex, if you want to sent items to trash :
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=229465
Also, camera auto detection doesn't work. I suspect an uncomplete dbus port.
So, if you want to play with digiKam under windows, let's go...
Best
