[Digikam-users] Emboss filter not working in edit mode or showfoto

When I either choose the emboss filter from Digikam's editor, or from opening the image directly in Showfoto, all controls and buttons are greyed out. It does the preview of the emboss (which looks very good) and I can mouse-over to see the original, but I cannot proceed. Even 'Cancel' is greyed out and I need to close the whole window.
The other filters work fine, just not emboss.
Any insight?
