I use Mandriva 2010 too. No problem there. Of course, i recompile all myself, as i'm developer. It's a packaging problem. Binary compatibility is not respected somewhere. Try to contact Nicolas Lecureuil <neoclust at mandriva dot org>, he maintain all KDE4 and digiKam packages. Gilles Caulier
