[Digikam-users] digikam does not start - symbol lookup error

hi all,

after no having used digikam for some time, i now compiled the newest svn
version and installed it. but it does not start, gives the following error
message instead:

digikam(14701)/digikam (core) Digikam::AlbumManager::setDatabase:
DatabaseParameters: [ Type "QSQLITE", Name
"/home/gandalf/Medien/Fotos/digikam4.db" (Thumbnails Name
"/home/gandalf/Medien/Fotos/thumbnails-digikam.db"); ]
QSqlDatabasePrivate::removeDatabase: connection 'ConnectionTest' is still in
use, all queries will cease to work.
digikam: symbol lookup error: digikam: undefined symbol:
_ZN7Digikam12DProgressDlg25setActionListVSBarVisibleEb

after this message, digikam crashes immediately.

deleting config files and / or database does not help. i'm using kde 4.4.5
on kubuntu here.
any ideas how to repair this?
