[Digikam-users] How to EXCLUDE album names in searches?

Go to search in the left panel then click on advanced search.

click on "File, Albums, Tags" to expand it then click on the Album. You'll use the top choice and once expanded you can click on all of the albums you want to include.

I'm not sure exactly what you want to accomplish but this limits what you see to the selected albums. I can't see why you would need to exclude albums you can't see but since it's what you've asked for what you need to do is go to the bottom of the search window and click on "+ Add Search Group".

This opens a second group that looks exactly like the first but it gives additional Boolean choices. So if I understand what you want you should....

Click first on the "OR" to change it to "AND" and then click on "None of these conditions are met". Then last you click on "File, Album, Tags" then like above you open the album choice and click on the albums that you don't want to see.

If you just want to exclude an album again go to find > advanced search >+add search group > Change OR to AND and select none of these conditions are met then >file, albums, tags > Albums and select the albums you want to exclude. Notice that nothing was set in the first group.

Hope that helps.
