I agree, my solution was just a workaround, obviously not suitable in this case.

Hi there,
I support Daniel's idea .. from a photographer's point of view it is 
important to be able to select the folders you wish to be managed -or 
not managed- by a tool .. from a programmer's point of view, there are 
lots of easy workarounds. For us stupid users/photographers those are 
often not as easy :-(
