Using Digikam 1.0.0-beta3 on KDE 4.3.1 Kubuntu 9.04, advanced slideshow is greyed out in the menu. If I disable and then re-enable the Kipi plugin it is available to use, but is disabled again when I close down and restart Digikam. Tried doing a search on the Internet, but couldn't find anything related.
