Hm actually this is not necessarily true. I'm not using the SVN version of all 
the libs and still can compile digiKam.
But sure if you have the libs from KDE 4.1 or less installed, compile might 
not work.
But at least KDE 4.2.3 and 4.2.4 packages should work fine.

What's true is that it seems to be impossible to have more then one version of 
a lib installed. Either we have bad cmake detection modules, or cmake is not 
capable to handle this correctly.
