[Digikam-users] any one help to fix 5d mark ii's raw to be suitable digikam

Well, this is the problem :-(

on my OpenSuse 10.3 there's nothing new anymore. That KDE4 thing stopped 
everything for older releases, everything is going on for KDE 4 only, and for 
10.3 there are (AFAIK) only old KDE4 packages, which are more than horror...

One is quite urged to update, but from my experience I need approx. 2 weeks 
for installing a new Suse version (untill I have set up all my programs and 
settings again...), so October/November is my earliest possibility.

Is there a possibility to install a newer digikam version on KDE 3.5?
Without destroying the installed, running one? 

(I don't want to replace it before trying if the new one works, because I need 
a working program...; I can do raw converting using XP in an virtualBox 
window - but MS-stuff makes me sick every time I see it...)
