What should these variables be?   A net search has not been useful.
Currently:

        1006 ~ $ echo $KDEDIR
        
        1007 ~ $ echo $KDEDIRS
        /usr
        1008 ~ $ echo $QTDIR 
        /usr/lib64/qt-3.3
        1009 ~ $ echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH 
        /lib/:/usr/lib/:/usr/lib/sane/:/usr/local/lib/:/usr/local/lib64/

Are there any other environment variables that need to be set?  It's
worth noting that:

        1012 ~ $ ls -1d /usr/lib64/qt*
        /usr/lib64/qt-3.3
        /usr/lib64/qt4

Which of these (if either) is right for QTDIR?  Or is it a colon
delimited list?
BTW: Where is QTDIR set?  It's not in ~/.bash_profile or /etc/profile .
