Gilles has been so intelligent to put in a lot of
context help into digiKam directly. If you want to have an explanation of a
menu item, just press shift+F1. The mouse cursor will transform into a ?.
Use
it to go into the menu and click on an entry. Instead of the menu being
executed a pop-up explanation will appear.
I think this "shift+F1" only works if one has kde desktop. I have icewm
"desktop" (no gnome, only enough kde to run digikam) and Firefox not
Konqueror, so I end up reading the manual online, even though I installed
the documentation. I read in the FAQ that kcenter was the answer to setting
defaults, but that's not installed, either - the price of a nonstandard
install, I suppose.
And the manual is so nicely written, well worth another read.
