[Digikam-users] Why does adding a keyword make the file size smaller?

Gilles -

I just wanted to follow up with you about why adding a keyword to a
file made the file size smaller.  It seems that digikam must be
deleting some information when it does this and that worries me.

If you haven't had time to look at this, I understand.
