yes, if you read DNG spec, you will see than RAW original image data can be
hosted at the same time than JPEG lossless 16 bits image. But in this case,
the DNG file size become huge...

So, DNG is not easy to use in RAW workflow...

You can  try Adobe RAW DNG converter under linux using wine. it's not too
bad :
