Dear all digiKam fans and users!

The Kipi development team is happy to release the 5th KDE4 beta version of
plugins for digiKam. The tarball can be downloaded from SourceForge at this
url:

https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=149779&package_id=165761<http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=42641&package_id=34800>

To compile this KDE4 version, you need libkexiv2, libkdcraw, and libkipi for
KDE4. These libraries are now included in KDE core with kdegraphic
component.

With this new release, a new plugin named SmugExport is born. It's dedicated
to export images to SmugMug web service <http://www.smugmug.com/>.

A new plugin have been added to batch convert RAW camera images to Adobe DNG
container (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Negative_(file_format)<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Negative_%28file_format%29>for
details). To be able to compile this plugin, you need last libkdcraw
from svn trunk (will be released with KDE 4.2). To extract libraries source
code from svn, look at this page for details :

http://www.digikam.org/download?q=download/svn#checkout-kde4<http://www.digikam.org/drupal/download?q=download/svn>

Another tool is also available to batch remove red eyes automatically. it's
based on OpenCV library.

For others depencies, consult the README file. There are also optional
depencies to enable some plugins as libxml2 for HTLMExport or OpenGL for
SlideShow tool.

With this new release, Kipi-plugins is now compilable under Windows using
MinGW and Microsoft Visual C++. Precompiled packages are available with
KDE-Windows installer. See http://windows.kde.org/ for details.
