[Digikam-users] Cannot build svn

I'm trying to build digikam from svn by the instructions on:
http://www.digikam.org/?q=download/svn

However, when I run the first command I am told that there is no command svn:
dotancohen at ubuntu:~/bin/digikam$ svn co -N
svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/branches/stable/extragear/graphics
bash: svn: command not found

And trying to install svn by aptget finds nothing. What must one to to
build from svn?
