If your monitor work in sRGB colorspace (all CRT and LCD monitor normally), 
and if you use sRGB workspace in digiKam, it's not necessary to enable color 
managed view. Here i don't use it.

I have optimized a little this part during this week. Have you a fresh svn 
checkout on your computer ?
