No, there is a bug already open about this subject.

But, CDArchive plugin isn't fully compatible with digiKam 0.7.x serie. 
database isn't archived for example, and there isno tool to restore a backup.

We need to create a new tool instead inclued in digiKam core like a new tool. 
I have planed to do it during 0.8.x or 0.9.x series. sure with this way 
current CDArchive will be obsolet and will be removed from kipi.

Hum, more easy to open a new project in k3b and drag and drop albums contents 
into (:=)))
