Hi digiKam developers,

my name is Joseph De Veaugh-Geiss. For the next 6 months I am working on
internal communication and community building at KDE. [1]

One area identified as needing improvement is communication between app
projects and the Promo team.

digiKam in particular was noted as a popular application which may
benefit by working more closely with Promo. You can see the relevant
Phabricator task here:

   https://phabricator.kde.org/T16318

One goal is to increase visibility of app projects through joint
promotional activities (release announcements, regular social media
posts, etc.).

Is there a way I can help with this? Are there currently barriers making
this a challenge that we may not be aware of? Please let me know!

I would be happy to have a video call to discuss with anyone on the team
if that would help. Otherwise you can reach me here or privately by
email or on Matrix:

@joseph:kde.org

I look forward to hearing from you!

Cheers,
Joseph
