Hi all,

After 2 weeks of intensive developement in a dedicated branch, I proud to
announce that i completed the first stage of the new digiKam plugins
interface :

As you can see, we have more than 30 plugins now. It's a similar situation
that we have with KIPI stuff. This will be available to 6.1.0 release, not
6.0.0 whitch is frozen stage now....

The second stage will start to open Batch Queue Manager to the plugin
interface, and permit to use webservices tools in a workflow.

Later, i will open the image editor tool to the new plugins interface too,
and permit to contributor to easily write a digiKam extension without to
touch the core implementation. For ex, i would like to see somebody coding
a plugins for the Qt GMic plugin, already available to Gimp, Krita, and
Paint.net :

https://github.com/c-koi/gmic-qt

There is also a whish to open the digiKam database interface to a plugins
mechanism. All is possible if we don't fragilise the application stability
and the performance. So the topic still open...

Best
