Concerning PicasaWeb, i'm not sure if Picasa will be supported by Google in
a near future. After all GPhoto is here, and the goal, logically, is to
replace Picasa web service.

I remember one year ago a talk with user on digikam-users mailing list
about this topic where  people coninue to use PicasaWeb because Gphoto was
not yet finalized, or do not provide all the same feature. To be sure, the
best is to ask to end users on the ML.
