digikam slow or hang on startup

I already have that set in my environment.

I ran it under strace, the output is attached. The last line is

futex(0x7f884f7bae28, FUTEX_WAIT_PRIVATE, 342, NULL

All other futex calls look like

futex(0x7f884f7bae28, FUTEX_WAKE_PRIVATE, 2147483647) = 0
