Choice field for camera make and model?

Hi Maik,

If i understand, the question is about to provide a free text field to
search camera lens model in database. Right ?

I don't have objection. The search will provide a result with best similar
strings found in database. As Lens string identification is a puzzle to
extract form metadata while DB registration, i cannot see a better way to
process).

Note : more than one lens can be found by Exiv2 for same ID from makernotes.
